Our Story
Mel and Aurora
Both Melvin and Aurora had both recently finished something big in March/April 2024: Melvin his Maters and Aurora her Pharmacy Technician Certification, and they both decided to get serious about dating again. They each made a profile on the dating app, Hinge. Soon enough Melvin saw Aurora's profile and messaged her "Daemon sleigher" tagging the photo of her wearing a Demon Slayer t-shirt.
Aurora didn't see that message and thought he had just liked the picture. She claims that it was so short that it blended in with the picture. Thankfully, Aurora looked through his profile and found Melvin very interesting, particularly that he liked books. Soon they were bonding over Terry Pratchett's Discworld and Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn.
Quickly Melvin asked for a date, which lead to another one where Aurora asked to become boyfriend and girlfriend. They continued to spend their time together hiking, playing board games, talking about books, and other things. On a gorgeous summer day out in nature on a hiking trail, Melvin told Aurora that he loved her. She responded in kind.
After more than a year of dating, the two of them were on a hike. They were appreciating the mountain and scenery at an overlook, when Melvin pointed off and said look at that deer. Aurora turned to look with no deer was in sight, and when she turned back, Melvin was down on one knee with a ring in hand. He told her how much she meant to him and how he wanted to go on the journey of life together and asked her to marry him. Aurora of course said yes.
